Following on from my previous posts the T2 is now showing fault code 34- Injector Needle Lift Sensor.

I've looked in the workshop manual and I'm at a bit of a loss.

Basically the car starts ok, runs a bit rough until it warms up but I have very little power.

Cheers in advance

If you unplug the 2 wire connector going to the lift sensor and test the resistance with a multi meter across the 2 pins going to the injector you should have approximately 105 ohms, if way out the sensor is no good.

You can also swap the wires around to the sensor if there is a marked downturn in performance this also suggest the sensor is US, doing this will produce a light diesel knock and often some smoke that is normal

Thanks Toolbox

Problem I have is, I cant find the sensor or the wires to unplug.

Could you point me in the right direction?

Thanks

I think I've found it now and its reading open circuit I think.

The sensor is built in to number one injector where you will find the wires coming out from, if it requires replacing you will have to unfortunately change the whole injector

Make absolutely certain before you replace, as it will cost a few hundred quid.
