Have just found a cheap £10 240 v inverter, should do the job ok:D

Anyway, back on the camper topic, I'm going to continue installing insulation tomorrow

Yes, I've resided ill save up for a propper 300W one

Remember Inverters draw a fair bit of current when the are plugged in, even when they are not actually running anything.. So make sure you fit a switch so you can turn off the 12v side.

Another thing is, most (Cheap?) inverters from my experience, will not run up if you have something already plugged into the mains side when you apply the 12 volt, so you need access to be able it switch off the mains side as well.

Cheers, I just recived £30 for fixing a Renault master for a neighbor, I know what that's going on:D:D I can get a good 300W inverter now,

Thanks for the info, I'll have a switch in it as I'm making a switch panel, also, its probably going to be mounted under the front passenger or driver seat

I wonder what bits you'll have left over when you have finished?:doh

Nice to see a proper ratchet crimp tool being used.:thumbs:thumbs

Tip:

when passing wires over sharp edges, put some edging over the metal edge, I was particularly looking around your rear light cluster, but applies to all areas.:thumb2

just cycled to my white Terrano and nicked the metal heater pipes off it as there in better nick than the ones that were on my blue one 'Toby', bloody creepy cycling on the back roads at night:eek:

Meh, I solder everything

Not always the best plan on trucks as the vibrations can cause solder joints to fracture. The wires work harden I was told when soldered up.

No expert on this, just regurgitating :augie
