Hi All

Yesterday a mate told me that there was a public road with the signs "Not Suitable For Road Vehicles" on it near where we work.

So we went and proved the sign wrong lol.

Put the videos on YouTube so please take a look, this is my first EVER attempt at offroading and yes, I know its not exactly the hardest course but still its got me hungry for more :thumbs

awesome Gav, i enjoyed watching them videos, those sorts of lanes are exactly what im looking for:thumb2

ive done off roading just once before many years ago in an old Patrol over at the now closed site near scarborough. Ive got a rough track round the back of my house i use as often as i can, thats about a mile, but like you i want to try out some nice, quiet long lanes like that in the video!

Certainly did :) - not bad for a lunch time outing lol. Its in Barlborough just off M1 JNC 30. Past McDonalds and on the left

It's nothing special,we've got motorways over here that are rougher than that:lol:lol:lol, that's practically a smooth surface.:doh

my first off road ish exp

hi gav.
to the right of + - there is a drop down list click on ordnance survey maps :thumb2
look for the reen dots. which mark the lane you drove.

that lane must be about 10 minutes from me but never done it, the unsuitable
signs are always taken as a personal challenge!

as ian says a there are othes that way though some i think are iffy as prime
fly tipping areas so may become blocked by tippers of land owners or get caught
up in trouble, maybe.

if look towards worksop of barlborugh theres a nice lane thru a field off the main
a road back towards village of whitwell, one of the red dot unclassified coutry road
UCR types, are was, though again never done.

if you dont mind coming over to sheffield we could do houndkirk, easy enough but
looks rough and takes good half an hour feels like an adventure! then into
derbyshre, hope valley with loads of boats and ucrs

are you going to notts meet Ian has some lanes there planned i believe. What
he doesnt know, well aint worth knowing about area and legal side.:)

You mean the one next month near Clumber? Yup, I am going to that :)
