we used to meet at bamford station just down the road but leeside(for those who have done it before)has a TRO on it while its being repaired and hurst clough has badly washed out so is not passable in a standard truck.

Although I've done these lanes a few times dunno about leading.
I may get lost:eek:

Don't worry about it mate alot can change between now and then. Can still run as 2 groups with just one leader.

Wouldn't expect a guest with no knowledge of the area to lead a group rob.
What I have done in the past is run as one group on the road then half start the lane and half hang back for 5 mins or so.
As long as we have comms we will be fine. :thumb2

Yeh guessed that was probably the case Elt.

Think the bulk of us (if not all) have CB's so comms should be ok - always nice to get a chance to use mine again instead of just having to pretend I'm in Smokey and the Bandit when I'm driving on the motorway :augie :p

If there is a big gang of us. I will have to have a practice run elt:D.
So I can lead another group if needed:thumbs.

would like to offer to lead or assist though need mrs auth!
its my back yard after all, atleast the Hope Valley area and
done most few times in both directions.

Looked at May, 4 weekends, 2 are are bank hols, and one of
two in between am rota'd to work but sure could swap.

Just found this as a taster, on trip ran by IanDouglas, one of the Bracken tours.

The modded trol of Dadba.

near A57 west of Sheffield near Ladybower.

Thimk that is what is Pete's trol now, further down.

Lunch on Houndkirk, south end, opposite to suggested start of new tour of Fox House.

think this was September 2008, as I had my first T2.

Think that's Elty's centre rear.

Can't see me on second pic as I am tucked behind sniffers nav.
On first pic I am in front of tony(daba)in his trol.
All depends on how wet under foot it is as to driving ughill moor.
Has got some good ruts now from farm traffic, easily passable when dry but a different story in the wet.

Nice to see Dabda's truck again . Nicely sorted that one was :sly What ever happened to him ? Was there some sort of old skool dispute on here ?

There was some argument that got out of hand but not sure with who and why.
I kept in touch and did a few runs with him through mud club but then he said he had had enough of all the negativity towards the 4x4 scene and just disappeared.
Have tried to find him on face book a few times with no luck.:nenau

The list so far......

Elty Camping
Exosteve camping
Barrbeast camping
Jims terrano camping
Banshee tbc
Makeitfit/fez camping
Patrolman camping
Thomas the terrano II tin tent
Land rover lee camping

Going to put a limit of 10 trucks on this meet then we can run as 2 groups of 5 which will keep the bobble heads quiet(well probably not)but at least we try.

With regards to camping,do you want me to make enquiries into a group booking on a rally field if available or is it everyone sort themselves:nenau

If you're happy to look into a group booking that's fine by me bud :thumb2

i dont do tenting, is sleeping in the truck a posibility? if so i might be up for it

Will contact a few sites in the area rob and see what they say.
If you are happy to sleep in your car that's fine with me.
Just have to be careful where you park in the peak district as the police and park rangers are keen on stuff like that.
