Nice to see Dabda's truck again . Nicely sorted that one was :sly What ever happened to him ? Was there some sort of old skool dispute on here ?

Dadba troll was a nice bit of kit & went laning with him a few times:augie he did have a nasty mishap in the Yorkshire Dales I thing it was where he miss judged a turn & took out a farmers dry stone wall (it fell down) but the trol was fine:lol farmer wasn't happy & IIRC had his gun pointing at people:eek: Dadba had a run in with a few people on different forums & he was banned from 3 I know of including one I help run after swearing loads on the forum & being abusive to the admins:doh not long after that I heard he had sold the trol & him & his Mrs had sadly split up

off thread mate ;)

Sorry mate:doh feel free to remove the post if you feel fit:thumbs

Back on topic, I have made some enquiries about group bookings for camping and the sites around edale are not up for it,they are also a bit pricey as they are in the heart of the peak district.
Have widened the search area and sent a couple more emails but we might be better booking for ourselves rather than a group :nenau

Sadly that's a common problem with a lot of campsites they don't like groups visiting:doh the way we got around it was everyone booked into the same site separate then just met up once there in someone's awning or around the BBQ:augie

Phew!
Only had a quick look at one site £30 per night????
£90 for us?
The only tent I have is massive so to make it possible I would have to go Friday to Monday meaning 2 days off work and school.
It would be cheaper for us to do the Saturday night in a bnb.or even cheaper just stay in my cumfy bed:lol
Besides its half term the week after so I may go the lakes for a week?
Its still early days and I will look into it some more.but if we do camp it would be nice to all be on the same site for a social BBQ n beer.

Agreed :thumb2 be nice to be on the same site.

Seem to be a few sites are a bit cheaper although one or two are about 30 mins from the meet point (if that's an issue :nenau).

I see one of the sites has a name and shame section  :lol

Small deposit now, rest on arrival.

Great find Elty :thumb2 3 nights booked, £36 in total, £5.40 paid on the website now.

Yeah like rob says a few quid deposit and rest on arrival.
Half the price of the ones up in edale.

It's going to have to be Friday till Monday as kaz's sister is getting married on the Friday so we are going to the wedding then over to camp site early evening time.

Thought you booked 4 nights bud?
Total cost of mine was £72 with leccy for 4 nights.
£10.80 deposit:D

Meant to put 3 nights:eek:
It's cos of how you book it arrival and departure it shows 4 days:doh
Been a long week and these long hours are taxing my brain :lol

i have stayed at hulm end camp site hulm end washing toilets water cdp no ehu a few times, not sure where you are laneing but they charge £4.50 pp pn just turn up and dogs ok.
i am out with van a lot and would think about joining you if i can fit it in my trips.trouble is got blue badge as not to good at walking.

Not entirely sure how many trucks have booked in so far.
I will go visit ELT asap to sort out final lists routes and truck compatibilities.
There will be lanes suitable for standard trucks but there's a lot that won't.
Good tyres are a must.(minimum requirement). 31s better and suitable for a lot of stuff.
But anyone not fancying a particular lane are always welcome to jump in other peoples for the fun.

Most of the lanes are passable in a standard truck with AT tyres.
Have done most of them in the a lwb with no mods.
Would never dream of taking standard trucks on the harder ones as risk of damage.
What I will say is that there is always a risk of damage in any green Lane run but no one is under any pressure to do anything they are uncomfortable with.
You may get a few light scratches from vegetation but in mid may it will be new growth And fairly soft.
I always put in work arounds with every route I plan to try and keep everyone happy.
