Got out of work late so everywhere was closed so no chance of getting hoses.
I did manage to get underneath and have a look about thought. This is what I found. Best angle I could get but it does look like quite a restriction in the flesh.
I clearly dislodged loads of built up rubbish when I took the tank apart as it was all in the filter. Im guessing that with the kinked pipe I got a blockage so when the temp drops with thick veg oil its too much. Makes sense in my mind as at low revs it rolls alot fine but with my foot down the juice cant get to where it needs to be? You will have to excuse the scabbiness of her underside as shes long overdue due a good scrub n some maintenance:D
Got some new hoses ordered an they are on there way by the weekend so I can try running from a jerry can and replace the flow and return to the ip.

Yeah that's not a very nice kink mate, could well be the source of your blockage but you should be able to prove/disprove that theory as and when you get your pipe.

That does look like copper to me that stuff

BTW, you need to get under there with the wire brush and some Waxoyl, yesterday  :thumbs

Yer, my plan is to work from back to front with a flap disc. Grind off everything I can on the chassis then get it painted/protected. After that teach myself to weld on the few bits that need attention on the understand of the body. Well thats my plan anyway :lol

no way is that the problem.i had no fault even in coldest weather on my mix of wvo it but did turn over longer though.i had 10mm pipe put on it when i started having trouble about 3 years ago, still had same problem though so kept digging.
i cant make this out as it was running fine for 2 years thats why i did all the welding and wings new tyres as a good truck, get in and go anywher anytime, not to sell it but a good auto came up,untill clutch and brake pipe went the week befor you came then you really booted it because i asked you to and it was going like a rocket now since you played with it problems after problems,a learning curve i think.

Plenty to learn. I think when I pulled it apart at the tank end to clean it up, loads of built up debris was disturbed as I had loads of stuff in the filter. Im guessing it hasnt all cleared yet an is maybe accumalated at this kink. Which is why after resealing the tank it ran perfectly all week then started playing up. So for cost of the hose im gonna bypass it all at the weekend and see if that makes a difference.

Things turned out well this weekend compared to the end of last week.
Missed Fridays delivery so that evening I managed to get all the leak off pipes changed, must say getting the 7mm clips to seat correctly on the injectors was an interesting job. Also cut down some bolts to replace all the tank ones so that I know its on nice and tight.
Picked up my hoses saturday but other events got in the way of working on the truck till Sunday evening.
Managed to replace the feed to IP with a 10mm ID pipe. Now it should have been 8mm but I bought 10 for some reason. I ran it along side the original up over the engine and directly to filter. In doing this I have had to loose the inline nrv and having clear pipe upstream of the filter due to the diameter difference but on the plus side I have 5 less joints and 5 less chances of air getting in.
Result of this new feed is excellent. Shes running as she should can pull to redline with no eml or limp mode. Idles nice and smooth too. So it was either blockage or one of the joints failing and letting air in under heavier loads.
Will grab some pics when I get a chance as its all just grip tied in place as that was all I had to hand last night.
Want to remove the redundant pipes and make way for the new return.

Success :clap :clap

Well done mate, glad you are making progress :thumbs

Been trying to get a few jobs in around work. A nice easy one to start with. Blower was only working on max so popped the resistor out and was greeted with this.
Only problem with the job was dropping both screws down the back of the carpet :augie

Wanted to start tackling all the underneath and chassis before winter sets in properly. So figured start at the back and work my way forward.
Bolts were a lil rusty but managed to get them all out with no losses. All had a good clean and some copperslip on reassembly.

I had planned to rwmove the tank guard but the first bolt snapped and two others where quite rusty so the 17mm socket would not fit. Didnt want to push my luck so left that job for a warmer day. An also when i hadnt just filled the tank up incase the weight on the two remaining bolts caused any issues.

Careful with the tank guard mate, the same bolts hold the tank too so you remove or snap the bolts and down drops the tank. Depends on the bolts that have snapped but you may want to check if they take the weight of the tank.

Looking good mate, I’m doing a similar job with my project truck at the moment.

Woohoo an unboxing :thumbs

But what is it?

Now not wanting to look greedy :D I had give tuneit a call and it just so happened that they had a reconditioned unit fit for the beast at a very good price. So i thought it would be too rude to pass up.
Will need to acquire a soldering iron and the skills to weild it before i attempt to fit it though.

But what is it?

After the first bolt went I though best have a dig through the site. Thats when I discovered the same bolts hold the tank and guard so though best to leave it till im better prepared incase it does cause a leak. Was luck it did break really as a full tank held on with two bolts could have ended badly. Gonna take my time and be a bit more careful me thinks.

Now this is what I log on and want to see!!!! Hell yes!!!!!

As you were sir :thumbs Plenty more pics please :)
