Hi guys, inparticular any of you electrickery type boffins :D
I'm wiring up the LPG injection on my truck but need a suitable take off point to control power to the solenoids.
I want it wired so that on closed throttle, or a stall etc there will be no gas filling up the I/C and going ban :augie
Any ideas ?
Cheers

yea stick to ya bio n leave the gas alone :lol:lol:lol:lol

Initial thoughts on this...
Use a combination of the idle switch (foot off the gas!!) on the throttle & oil pressure switch (engine not running). Use the combination of these two signals to inhibit the gas solenoid.

Good plan, cheers.:)
will the outputs off these be ok to trigger the solenoid or will I need some fancy electrickery to do things with volts?:nenau

Probably the best plan would be to assemble an independent subsystem to provide a fail-safe no gas condition.

So,,, combine the output of the aforementioned signals to operate a relay that on switches when both conditions (engine running & foot on gas) are met, then use said relay to switch the gas solenoid.

You may also want to think about other "conditions" where inhibiting the gas flow would be wise too.
If I get time I'll look at it in more detail later this week.

Cheers Ray, that'll be very helpful:thumbs
Everything else in place mainly. There's a tank solenoid, bulkhead solenoid and I've also got hold of a turbo boost controller, electronic thingy. It has a facility to switch other things on at certain revs . So maybe that could be part of the equation too.

Ray, can you advise what sort of relays I should be looking for please:rolleyes:
I made the mistake of looking on fleabay and got confused quick sharp:doh

When I went in for my hernia op I was told I'd need shaving!
So I thought of a sort of "Carry on Nurse" type in mini mini skirt and gravity defying norks shaving my bits :sly
Then I thought my gown wouldn't hide my aroused state :lol
Needn't have worried, I got given a bloody bic and a male nurse to show me where the bogs were :doh

Got hold of an Inertia switch today for those bumpy offroad moments :augie
However , does anyone know of some sort of levelometer switch that will shut things off if I go over a certain angle of dangle? :lol
