make sure both your hubs are disengaged! and clean the mini (banjo) filter, also does the steering pull? maybe brake sliders need cleaning and greasing?

NO ALL BEEN DONE AND INJECTORS AND PUMP:rolleyes:

mine are auto locking and would probebly destroy my auto gear box woulden,t they :)

check the downloads and threads on auto hubs and give them a good check! if everything else is ok, then it has to be worth a try!

I WILL HAVE A NOSE THE WEEKEND CHEERS :thumb2

Try your turbo wastegate and see if it is stuck as I have seen that happening - its the lever arm on top of the turbo linked to a bellows and opens at pressure maybe it is siezed open/closed . worth a try!!

no cos you wouldnt actually be in 4wd gears wise but you will have loads of drag with the front wheels still engaged to the drive shafts via the auto hubs.

but id try the waste gate valve next . just get one from the breakers next time your passing few quid.... worth a punt id say

EXtreme is right on the hubs.

All that happens if you drive in 4WD in the dry, i.e. front hubs engaged, is that you can clearly feel the transmission trying to wind up on tight turns, expecially in reverse; the wheels start 'skipping'.....you'll know it if its happening.

Contrary to popular belief, its not that easy to bust your hubs/transmission by doing so (I've driven like it loads of times) - it just accelerates wear.

I towed my caravan for 12 miles in low 4wd.. no trouble with wind up.. just so SLOW!

hi ajusted turbo preasure down valve seems to increase and decrease the way it should on the presure gauge

if i was a betting man my money would be on the 'auto hubs' i would take them off take the brake rings out (label them so they dont get mixed up) and drive round without for a while and compare the fuel economy! Bear in mind you will have no 4x4 while they are out!

I found dodgey hubs to cause a difference of around 6 miles per gallon!

In the middle of france I found that I couldnt get first or second gear in my T2. I engaged low 4 and set off using third and fourth which worked very well, when I was able I found somewhere to investigate the problem. Was I relieved to find that my mobile phone had slipped into the folds of the gear lever shroud and had prevented the lever from moving over to the left and prevented selection of the lower gears and not a faulty gearbox.....bri

I thought it was only me that did things like that! I once had a moments panic when i couldn't depress the clutch on my opel manta (many years ago) it turned out my lunch had fallen off the back seat and an apple had rolled under the pedal!
