we are confusing two different issues here, clutch slip and noise, my earlier posts were to do with slip not noise, Rick
Now I'm confused. Com as mine is only making the noise on the biting point and when I'm driving. Fine on tick over and fine when the clutch pedal is pressed and depressed on tick over. Only when in gear :doh
the job is made easier if you remove the front X member that the diff is mounted on, 4 bolts, problem is they are fed in from the rear and you can only get 2 out as the other 2 hit the torsion bar mount, trick is to remove the nuts, push the bolts back and cut the heads off, you will of course need 2 replacement bolts, pushed in from the front and you may need to cut them as they must not hit the torsion mount, Rick
Hi chaps I'm feeling a bit worried about this noise now as I can hear it while driving and seems to be worse when under load like going up hill also the clutch has started to slip when I give it some beans in 3rd and forth gear. Any ideas chaps because at the moment I wish I never bought the dam thing and that's coming from someone who has always had renaults lol
