Laning day october 09

HI.This is not a nissan 4x4 club event.
I am looking into a laning day in October in eather Derbyshire or North Notts.
any preferences .
Derbyshire will cover my old route. may include some changes.
North Notts. as before with a few extra`s.
will try to keep to it scratch free.
Sat or Sun.
Dates.
I may ask for a small donation to cover my costs.
if this is except able i may be able to do other days as well.
Your thoughts on this welcome.

let us know dates, weekendof 3/4 and 24/25 will be trickier as
rota'd to work. but can try to get off...

HI .
NORTH NOTTINGHAMSHIRE IT IS THEN.

PROVISIONAL DATE 11th OCTOBER.

WENT OUT SUNDAY TO RECCE SOME NEW LANES .
1st a Byway i drove 1/2 mile down one only to find it then turns into a Restricted Byway. :doh(new past with plastic badges)so turned around .
2nd. signed at both ends as a Byway but at a X roads new post and plastic badges indicate bridleway in all directions .
I think someone has been out removing the Byway badges.
3rd A Byway goes up a track through bushes (need cutting back a bit) into woodland then track disappears into a void,trees atop both banks with towering limestone rock on one side and a clay bank on the other a steady climb finds you coming out the other side and down a leafy woodland track.
4th Byway drove so far then ruts became to deep to risk on my own so turned back found out later same track as LANDROVER OWNER INTERNATIONAL got stuck on in last months mag :lol
5th found both ends of lane but didnt drive it as it started to get dark and started to rain . stopped for supper in Misterton.

WE WONT BE DRIVING THESE ON THE N.N.RUN
BUT MAY INCLUDE TRACK NO 3
just needs those bushes cutting back a bit .

hi adz.
i am having a bit of laptop trouble at moment .dam thing crashed .
still acting up so slow replies .
full days laning, route to be decided nearer date ,depending on weather conditions at the time.
Some lanes are more susceptible to damage than others.
JUST LOOKED AT A NORTH NOTTS ROUTE CARD FROM 22/6/08 THAT HAD A TOTAL MILEAGE OF JUST OVER 50 MILES including 15 LANES .some of which are 1 to 2 miles in length. finishing up at spitfire crossing .
will try to find link to some old footage.

bring a packed lunch or fry up .

sorry to bring up money but i cannot afford to do this for nothing .
so
THERE WILL BE A CHARGE /DONATION OF £5 .

I ran the lanes days over the three years covering a lot of miles in the process .
Going to Derbyshire and driving the lanes to check them out before a lanes day cost me approx half a tank of fuel each time .
North Notts not quite so far. but after work cut my overtime I had to stop.
The only way I can afford to do this is to charge .
we all used to give cameraman £5 four years ago.
