i put a postcode in the sat nav for the meet point last time we did this run and it took me to a farm:nenau:lol:lol
its the a1m junction at blyth,nottinghamshire.
just follow the signs on the roundabout for the services.

Nice day out in gentle notts, thanks to ian.

nice to old mates elton and john ( at meeting point ),
simon again and greasemunky, sorry didnt get your
personal!

well got to say most was 1st gear 2wd nice wanders
around edges of fields, few squeezes throu bushes
ouch but the last one with its muddy ruts and climb
over a flood bank had me in low4 2 with rear diff lock
on and some momentum got us thru and over.

it had a power washer at home and thru car wash last
night, hope its as clean underneath as in tryre shop
this morning for 2 front tyres, then wednesday again
to check tracking and alignment dont want to shouted
at.

thanks for kayla's icecream John, hope its still for sale
at Filey in two weeks!

hi one and all
forgot to say i am on afters this week 2.30 till 12.oo so just got in.
I am pleased you enjoyed the new route ,pity about the roadworks as that stopped us getting to the end of that lane.
Richard I hope the patrol came through the hedges ok as at times it looked as if you were making your own track , boy that patrol is wide.
I hope grease munky (john) and his mate enjoyed the day ,and had a good trip home ,at least you got to try your snorkle.lol.
I have got a few photos and a bit of video of you all at spitfire crossing.
The place we stopped for lunch (church laneham) at the side of the river trent ,thats the first time i have ever seen it with the tide out. it would have been interesting to watch the tide come right up although it was coming in when we left.I do believe it has a bore on it like the river Severn but smaller .
The lane we all struggled on apart from richard with his road tyres. lol.
at church laneham is the only one i as a bit dubeous about sending him down
poor simon droped his suzuki in a hole but he had nt locked his front hubs so had to be helped a bit but to be honest it coped very well just a bit more ground clearance and he would have been ok.
grease Munky tried to fill the same hole by nearly leaving his front bumper in it. pleased it just needed a quick screwing john.lol.
after the finnish at spitfire me eton and simon went through Clumber Park and onto another byway heading towards Mansfield with me promising a chance of some chesnuts alas it wasnt to be as they were still on the trees.
so we took the other option and went to Mc Donalds.
anyway time for bed. I will get the photos and video on asap.
ps there are some more lanes around the erea we did but they are rutted grass lanes/tracks across fields.I think we did approx 65miles to spitfire.
