I think kerosene is pretty cheap isn't it ?

Anyway how about 70% kero 30% veg ?

I'm thinking that amount of veg will be enough to lube the pump

Should work out pretty cheap, what ya think ?

kerosene .....burns at to high a temperture........it will SCREW UP YOUR ENGINE

Not what I've read lol

Many conflicting reports

People say neat it will, but with veg it burns just nice

Some people running modern vw and ford tdci on kero/svo mix for 7 years and 100k ...

I wouldn't chance it tho

The flash point of kerosene is between 37 and 65 °C (100 and 150 °F), and its autoignition temperature is 220 °C (428 °F).[8] The pour point of kerosene depends on grade, with commercial aviation fuel standardized at −47 °C (−53 °F).

Heat of combustion of kerosene is similar to that of diesel; its lower heating value is 43.1 MJ/kg (around 18,500 Btu/lb), and its higher heating value is 46.2 MJ/kg.[ :augie

stick it in the T2 .........and tell me how you get on next week :lol:lol

just in case you want to make it yourself here is the formula

C12H26(l) + 37/2 O2(g) → 12 CO2(g) + 13 H2O(g); ∆H˚ = -7513 kJ :naughty

TRY THIS :augie :lol

I would not consider kero for a road going engine as the pressures are to high for adequate lubrication of not just the pump but the injectors, bear in mind the needle in the injector is a very precise machined element, it takes around 2000 psi to lift the needle from its seat with virtually no leakage past the needle in its bore, running on poor lubricating kero will accelerate wear on this important high temperature component leading to its early failure, Rick
