Anyone here use the oil when you clean your filter?
ours is in need of a good clean.

Cleaned mine once. Washed it in warm soapy water, dried it off and sprayed the oil on - its red so you can tell when its all covered without it being soaked.

BUT - always worth removing it from time to time and giving it a good brush between the folds......and tap it on a piece of paper repeatedly as you do...you'd be surprisd at the shite that falls out (too big to go through the filter though so don't worry!)

a suck with the Hoover helps, pulls the dirt back the direction it went in :thumb2 you can also wet vac the moisture out ofter cleaning to help it dry!

The cheapie on Ebay, mate. I sent him my cheque a couple of weeks ago and I'm still waiting.

Mine arrived yesterday so it took five days for international delivery which is not at all bad.

i fitted one of these a few weeks ago at least with genuine KN you know you are getting good quality me being sceptical £10 ebay special whats it made of?

Got one of them. It seems to be paper covered with a wire mesh as far as I can tell. It is a £ 10 ebay special but I kept that in mind when ordering it. Part of the reason I ordered it is I needed to see if I could get it to fit before I spent the money on a genuine K&N. (I want to fit it to another vehicle besides the Terrano and would need to keep the top of the existing air box because the MAF is attached to it. After some creative pipework I got it fitted.) Can't tell yet whether it will improve performance or fuel economy but revs seem to be slightly lower around 50 to 60 mph with it fitted and sound is definately different. Sound may not be to everybody's liking though. Haven't decided yet whether I like the richer sound or whether it sounds like the truck is poorly looked after and needs a good tidy up. Also not sure how it will work on longer drives as it does feel warm after a short drive so must be absorbing the warm air from the engine bay.

Latest update on this nobber is that he has caused an unpaid item strike to be started against me on Ebay so I have forwarded to Ebay the email he sent me telling me my cheque had cleared to, commenting that he seems to be avoiding paying their fees :naughty
