I had one of these universal type cone filters on my mistral it will fit in the airbox just remove the metal end off the old filter and place it over the new filters end then add a couple of spacers and the wing nut holds it in place pop back in the box job done :thumb2 I have however replaced it with a standard filter and it seems to run better now than it did with the induction kit fitted :nenau

from what i understand , he has removed the airbox, i would have thought that would make things worse as it would be sucking warm air in from the engine bay , but then im a idiot

Just been out and got pics of the air filter to show you all and guess what, the computer has crashed :banghead so I'm on my phone again. I'll upload photos asap!!!!! Don't use a old Dell with expired virus protection :doh:doh

Thats weird because as folk like Timbo will confirm, one of the T2s breathing problems relates to the small hole that the air has to pass through from the inner wing to get into the airbox...for that reason the OEM replacement filter (that goes into the existing airbox) is not as effective as the induction kit with its much larger surface area.

be interested to see how this £10 filoter pans out though - I wouldn't be optimistic but then I was wrong once before....(just can't remember for the life of me when though?:lol)

You go to the "Reply To Thread" text box and click on the paper click icon....that lets you unload a suitably sized picture from your computer.

Or you get a Photobucket account or similar, upload your pics there, then just copy the image link into your post.:thumb2
