Hi guys I have been hanging around here for a few days after paying my £10 (well worth it).
I have recently bought a terrano II on ebay and did a HPI check afterwards. It comes up as:
"Data currently held on NMR indicates there may be a mileage discrepancy"

Should I be worried? And is there anyway I can check it's milage if the seller claims there are no past MOT certificates?

Look forward to your replies. :doh:mad:

You can get the data from the electronic mots which would give you the indicated mileage.
What's the reading on the clock you've got?
How old's the truck etc

I have no idea mat, but someone will :thumbs

But if it wasn't too exspensive and it's running well i wouldn't worry about it. My initial thoughts are - it has had a speedo change at some point, as it is farily common, and when it was sold someone has recorded the milage from the new speedo on the V5 and this conflicts with data allready held? sounds possible? what do you think?

welcome to the club!

Numbers, numbers, numbers, you can prove the world is square with numbers, you can get a motor with 40k on it and shagged into the ground, and one with 150k regular service and as good as gold, so if it runs good why worry, Rick

Thing is I have bought it without looking at it. I can't go and look at them now as My current car is having problems (clutch is going and doesn't start sometimes), Also my dads car clutch is going too.

And decent cars are like hens teeth here in mid wales.

Im taking a big risk, I guess I should of expected this. :banghead :nono

What did you get then boyo? Remember these are pretty tough most of the time :thumbs

It's a 2000 facelift, SWB & Diesel obviosly. ;)

I've just taken a punt on it, Ive been looking for a vehicle for a while now and its really pissing me off. Aswell as the problems with my current car and the money I saved for a new vehicle burning a hole in my pocket day by day.

Did a MOT check and all seems fine.

Here it is: 320593708458

Slightly payed more than I would of liked espcially as it has no tax. But I prefer the colour then a few others I have seen. Still got a few ££ to spend on some extras later on, Aswell as servicing all the oils/filters myself as soon as I get it.

Not much MOT either - tidy looking though.
Don't worry about not having looked at it before bidding.
Just because you won it on Ebay doesn't mean you have to buy it.
Make sure and take someone with you who will look over it properly before you part with any cash. Take a print out of the advert too, then if there are any faults that weren't mentioned he's got no argument.
Having said that it does look and sound like a good un. As for the mileage, like Rick said, you'll have to judge for yourself.

Well I see it if he hasn't described obvious like crazy noises comming from the engine/drive train then I have claus to walk away.

Not sure if this is in ebay rules but I don't care. Ebay can f off.
