Am i right in thinking that the coolant temp sensor advises the ecu of temperature then in turn tells the injection pump how much fuel to inject. You see i see to have a problem when my mav is cold, it jurks rather badly until it gets warm and then is OK. my thinking is that my temp sensor is possibly faulty as i don't seem to have a fast idle when cold. Does any have the figures for the temp sensor so i can check it?:bow:bow:bow

it depends if you have auto choke or manual choke mine has a manual

i think it would be dependant on what model you have if its a tdi or a straight td as i think the straight td is not run by elctronics unlike the tdi

good point about the temp sensor. Pete or Zippy might be along with the appropriate manual pags for you!

It's been part of the on going prob's I've had since i bought the mav, It's been OK over the summer but it's been a bit colder the last few days and i have noticed it again.

Don't think it's going to be throttle adjustment as i can tell a difference when hot / cold.
