We have a crisis!
Managed to get the engine on the new mounts after a couple of hours faffing around.
Tightened everything, put the tools away started the engine and turned it off very quickly!
Looks like I've bent the sump up a bit and the crank is hitting it:doh:doh:doh:doh
So I'm assuming that the sump needs to be removed and the bent bit pushed out and pray to whatever god's there are I haven't completely fubarred the engine.
Which after a quick search on here means taking the engine out???
Is that right? Is there any other way to lower the sump enough to have a bit of a poke around and try and lower the bit I've bent?
And do you think I've knackered the engine?
To be honest I can't really see the bend in the sump but in the very brief running I could see the sump knocking as the crank went round.
Please send me your sympathies and man hugs, but please I know I've ballsed up and I really don't need comments about what a dick I've been. Maybe in a a couple of weeks but not right now!
Still, I wanted an engine hoist and now I have a real reason for me I suppose
