Hi Guys,
I am serious need of some help and pointers.
Got a 52 plate Terrano 3.0 SVE with 47k original miles on the clock. Nissan service stamped until we got it. Cat C however (got rear ended before we bought it and has had new fuel lines fitted and tank repaired although tanks slightly leaking atm)
Had it 6 months and alls been fine until now. Did a full service on it when we got it and not missed a beat. I towed my speedboat with her last week about 150 miles all fine, however the following day she became gutless!!!
Engine free revs when stationary and runs smoothly (slight smoke from the exhaust) however when you drive her she hits 2,000 rpm and struggles to reach 3,000 where she'll stay with your foot planted. She seems happier driving on 1/4 throttle than anymore.
I can kick her up to 80mph in 5th if I try but still no more than 3k RPM.
She has used a little water in 6 months (about a pint, maybe 2 from the rad) however coolant isn't contaminated and nor is the oil.
No management light on either!!!
It goes through its usual test when you first turn the ignition on but soon goes out.
Fuel system seems ok with a good hard primer plunger on the filter housing.
I've taken the MAF out and cleaned it to no avail.
Any ideas?
I have to tow our racecar to a charity car show in a months time and need her for that as my 2.7 is off the road SORN and MOTless. And to tow our 24 foot box trailer with any of our other motors isn't going to happen.
