Nice looking wheels

Nice looking motor hope it turns out to be a good one.
My last and only white vehicle was a Front Wheel Drive Cavalier 1.3L base model hatch back in 1986 and it was a sound motor.
Ran it for a year and made a couple of hunred quid on it !!

any ideas how i would know if it has been mapped?

Also is there a way to re sync the key remotes as they don't work?

Cheers

No easy way as far as I know, easiest way would be to pull the ECU out and swap it with another one temporarily and see if the car drives the same.

Obviously Bosch for Bosch, Hitachi for Hitachi

The remotes are easy peasy so long as they are def the right frequency, your's should be 433MHz, make sure the fob corresponds as sometimes people buy the 418MHz in error and wonder why they wont pair

Guide for re-coding is here buddy

Tally the two ECU's up and see, sure in your 1998 it should be underneath the cubby box behind the handbrake

As you already have a T2 if this one has been chipped or has a tuning box fitted you'll find it'll be faster & pull through the gears a lot more than your other one lot easier to drive one after another than pulling out the ECU:thumb2
