The Terrano has just disgraced itself again this morning. Knocking and vibration from the back when the throttle's taken off. I've had enough now, to be honest. My life seems to be a constant worry about what's going to go wrong with it next :nenau
Traded it in today for a Shogun Warrior, so in a couple of days it'll be someone else's problem. I've really liked the truck, but enough is enough. So many issues for a truck that's only done 87k. It's time to call it a day
Edit: Oh yes, and the Shogun has better cupholders :lol:lol:lol
That's a shame, but I know exactly where you are coming from.. once a car starts to make you loose faith, it's so hard to ever fall back in love with it....
I have had it both ways, I had a make and model in my youth that everyone, and I really mean everyone hated. Even all these years on it will make any car lover groan... my particular one though was the best car ever, never let me down, ran a dream, and looked after me in a very difficult period of my life, to the point I actually nigh on lived in it for 2 years. After 4 years, and 200K miles, I traded it in, and got almost as much for it, as I paid for it. The car in question, an Austin Maestro!!! On the odd occasion I see one on the road now, they still bring a huge smile to my heart...
On the other hand, I was lucky enough to get a Subaru Impreza Sport as a company car... It was mine from new for 3 years.... I had the biggest smile ever on my face the day I picked that beast up.... Within the first 6 months, it had 2 new clutches, 3 sets of front rotors, and numerous software upgrades. After a year, I had actually had a loan car for more of the year, than I had had my car... By the end of 2 years, that car had more rattles and squeaks than a lorry load of baby toys... I hated it and would go out of my way to travel shotgun with other people, rather than take my rattle bucket. I ended up actually buying my own car to use when not working, even though I had full use of the Subaru 24/7. Fortunately, the company folded, and the Subaru had to go back... Boy was I glad to see that car go... Ironically, 2 of my friends had Impreza's, one having the P1, and neither could understand how I could have had such a bad example, but did agree mine was a lemon... Having said that, it was still the best "Chick Magnet" I have ever driven, girls don't seem to care about squeaks and rattles... :lol
I hope one day you find a T2 to help you re-gain your trust in them, but in the mean time, enjoy the Shogun.
