well faith has been well and truely lost in the patrol so
going back to the good old terrano2 tomorrow.

trading in the zd money pit and getting back to a
motor I can believe in.

found a very clean low mileage 52 plate 2.7tdi and now
looking forward to worry free motoring.

see just as well kept my user name.....

Ha, and there's me changing to my Patrol :lol
Mind you it is an old skool 4.2 Y60 :naughty

yeah, one careful lady owner. Full service history. :lol

its the zd i'm buying out of, if troll had 4.2, or 2.8 or anythoiing else
sure wouldn't be having this thread.

sick of being part of nissan's r&d follow thru/failure.

after the rebuild its still not right, had an analyser plugged in today
even when check light isnt coming on its throwing errors.

looking at maf and turbo pressure sensors, then what...

codes that 2.7s dont even make.

its also too big for us, the old t2 was perfect all rounder, nimble
on the lanes and round town.

the troll has got a bonnet/engine bay of a 6 cylinder with a 4 pot
and an acre of fan cowling.

Can't blame you after the problems you've had. Got to agree the T2 seems like a good compromise. You'll have to post some pic's of it when you get the chance.

my trolls running great and i wouldnt get rid just yet 870 miles in the last 8 days and not missed a beat.. i was going to sell and get a rover 75 but im not now... dont know what evar i was thinking:doh

i hope the t2 is trouble free motoring after the troll

well if had been a 2.8 or any other mill
wouldnt have had the issues found
with early zd.

two grand and its yours! otherwise
dealer gets it thursday afternoon....

well done the deed,
traded troll for terrano.

very happy, forgotten what go'ers they are.

so nimble, and down to earth. towbar goes
on in morning, then shake down tow to
southport, to recover some of our lost holiday.

58000 miles on less than nine years old seems good bet to me.

think its more a of a dark green, almost BRG though rather like our old t2
in certain lights it has a blue tint.

interior is black over sand?

cheers, noticed few scratches and a dent, but hey nearly nine years old.
saves me putting them on on first laning trip lol

reckon barely run in, good test for it tomorrow, once new towbar on and get the
twin axle back where it belongs...powered by terrano.

That looks a very tidy t2 uve got mate:thumb2. Hope you have better luck with that. Talking of towing we had our first trip away with our Bailey last weekend, we totally loved it and my trusty troll y60 did me proud.

absolutely superb tug to southport, flew past where troll failed.

west bound summit of woodhead crested at 40mph in third
with 1600 kg of caravan on back.

didnt even use stabilizer, was solid.

was about 100 miles towing there and same again solo whilst
there, topped up before return trip, averaged 25 mpg.

very happy, wish had never seen troll, wouldnt be quite so poor
now !

Great to hear mate. Now get the stabiliser sorted out though.

Jim

stab was sorted sitting in boot if needed.

its a blade jobby, just pity receiver hangs down below ball though could raise it a little.
also have an alko in shed, though don't like friction ball type, think theres too musch
strain on the ball.

both are pigs with spare wheel, about one good thing with troll as spare was more to
off side of truck.

think may change ball to alko type as has a built in spacer arrangement in its longer
neck.

the grease hitch on caravan is a pain as its has a keyed lock built in to handle so
need about four hands to release it, keep it released and wind hitch down onto t2
then either spare or door is in way.

recall one summer had spare in boot which made hitching up much easier...
