I am going to go and do it on the quad and film it for him so he can see the how rough it is.

a few more pics and a couple of short vids my daughter did on sunday
this is the top of the steep slippy lane, dont notice the drop when driving it but its high when you look back at the pics.

this the road at the top of pindale

a couple of short vids

all in all a brilliant day out and great company:thumb2

know stanage is shut, but is fully shut or just the rocky side. ie can you still get to the pole from redmires as recall the two sides had different classification, ie boat vs ucr?

they have put width restrictions on there but not sure what section.
I keep meaning to have a drive up and have a look.
its on your doorstep isn't it.:nenau
maybe you could have look one weekend to save me some fuel money:lol

body lift done, 3" suspention lift and 33s next:D

I've done my springs next is body lift then some 33s.
Got to save some pennies first.
I might sneak the body lift kit and some +3 shocks this month then sell my quad to fund the tyres.

sell the quad:eek:
its only a bit at a time for me too as im trying to save for a holiday.
theres no rush to get these jobs done to me truck. like we were saying at the weekend its easy to make your truck bigger tougher and more adept to doing more extreme stuff.
but will it make our usual peak lanes too easy and too boring?

im not going spend a fortune on me truck just to do hollins clough.

I still have loads of tread on my 31s and I goes anywhere I want it too so far.

first thing for me is a custom built roof rack with a oller on the back for ease of putting me ladders on as another 3" lift will make an already difficult job almost impossible. then I will think about me next lift and wheels

but for now I have just been asked go Scotland for a holiday:rolleyes:

nice idea. but its a hell of a long way to go especially if the weather is shit and face it Scotland weather normally is:augie

and a 1000 mile round trip to skye would cast millions in fuel for a terrano.
so I have decided im going to seek the sun and try to find th money for an all inclusive hoiday in gran canarys.
I will get most of my money back in beer at the bar lol

if you sell your quad how are you going to go exporing and mapping?

Spotted you guys struggling up to Litton Slack from Millers Dale while out for a walk.

not selling the quad just to fund the tyres, but it will help.once karens car is on the road I was going to sell it as I will have my truck back:clap
so it will spend more time sat idle.
as for checking out lanes I will drive up to an area.take the dogs and kids and walk any I havn't driven for a while like I used to before buying the quad bike.
I would drive hollinsclough in my truck as it is,minus the bling.
never to proud to use the waffle boards if needed, thats why I carry them.
its about enjoying your day out not trashing your truck trying to prove a point.

as for struggling up that hill I never stuggled once :augie got going from a standing start about 3/4 of the way up:thumb2
is one to keep off when really wet though as don't want to cause too much damage and get it closed.
