Good man stinka.:thumb2 I'll just put Petrol in then. 2L to 20L veg ? Is that enough or too much? Sorry I just wanna get this right in my head first time :D
Reason is it comes in 20ltr tins. Hard work.

Mine runs on just normal diesel, get about 28 mpg when driving sensibly -2.7TD

Just put 40 ltr of KTC veg in from bookers at £35.98

Or £17.99 for 20L

that's epic tbh :D

At the bookers near me it's £20 for 20l at the moment. But all of their oils have e900 anti foaming agent in. I've read that I should avoid that? Is it true. Also KTC is soya not rapeseed, is that still ok to use?
Thanks,
Shaun.

Avoid the KTC as you say soya is for vegans :lol Rapeseed is the boyo of choice :sly
Not sure about the anti foaming agent :nenau
Plenty of SVO out there without all the crap in it :thumbs

the anti foaming agent blocks stuff up  it silicone based so non combustible

Which is a little strange as pump diesel contains silicones to prevent foaming. Self same silicones that got into Morrison's and Tesco's unleaded down in Englandshire a few years back, caused havoc in peoples petrol motors.

97 plate runs on KTC veg oil bosch pump with 80% oil and 20% diesel but 50/50 in the winter, diesel heater fitted.
52 plate runs on diesel exclusively at the moment.

rustygates.

fuel

bio when I can find a GOOD supplier veg/sunflower or derv from anywhere and god knows pump its a mech thing I think just need to keep cleaning banjo filter...oh and aprox 27/9 mpg avg

Forgive me if this is an immensely dumb question...

I know I can't run the 3.0 on veg oil, does that mean I can't use bio either?

Oh and if not, why not? What's different about the 3.0?

No its not a dumb question....

They are two different fuels, only certain motors will run veg but all diesel engines should realistically run well made bio.

Bio is veg oil with the fatty acids removed, give or take a bit of hokery pokery...

if you are not confident running bio i was told at the start to run it by adding say 50/50 and then slowly increase the bio content.

:thumb2 cool thanks. There's a bio place not a million miles away from home that has a pump and also sells containers. B100, EN14214 approved, so might pay them a visit.

Do I have to change the fuel filter after first/second use of bio?

yes i was told after first or second tank to change filter.
its an easy job to do and well worth it, even as a precaution...

bio is usually cheaper if it is bought as heating oil (B100) and pumped into a drum for you to put into your tank yourself rather than if they pump it straight in.

The bio near us is £1.05 per litre sold as heating oil, but if you went to one down the road where they pump it straight in for you it has about 30p per litre duty added...

I run plain old Diesel :augie used to add a few litres to my last T2 to clean out the fuel lines before changing the filter.

Running off biodiesel, getting around 25 to 27 MPG that's driving around town and country lanes. Only mod a fuel filter change.

I joined Costco today and took a trip down to the Coventry store with the Mrs :thumb2

Check the prices out of the Veg there!!!!

20 Litres of KTC in cubies - £15.79 inc VAT
20 Litres of Kerfoot in cubies - £15.49 inc VAT

I took 80 litres and also brought a few other goodies too :D

Saying that :), you can't beat making your own WVO in the garden for 30p a litre :thumb2
