additives ..... occasionally redex fuel system cleaner

modifications .... none

mpg .... approx25 .... 28 on a run

fuel ..... SVO (Sunflower mostly)/Diesel mix up to 50/50. Never had any fuel or engine problems.

additives ..... 300ml of acetone or neat alcohol, whichever is available.

modifications .... Tunit/K&N Induction kit

mpg .... 25mpg but foot close to floor most of the time

Zippy, should be a bit more acetone than that, I think 100ml/20 litres is more like it.....thats what I use anyway. Just chuck 300ml in with a near-empty refill.

fuel :- 50% diesel 50% bio at mo as just started will be going 100% bio soon
pump :- bosch 99% sure
additives :- none
mods :-k&n induction kit and hope soon a tunit box :sly:lol
mpg :-good run at 55-60 i get 32mpg but round town i get 29 ish but will see with new bio diesel

Apparently it enhances the burn process....plenty of internet guff on it but I also confirmed its effects with two petrochemical scientists....mine runs slightly quieter and more smoothly when I use it.

Running 50/50 mix of used engine oil, filterd to 5microns and cheapest diesel i can find, been doing this for around 4000miles now, runs like a dream, a little puff of smoke when the boot is put down but i can put up with that! chap i work with is running the same mix in his lucida also with no problems.
oil were using is 5w30fully synthetic only from petrol engine cars and we only save the oil from low milage cars.
we have also chucked a few handfulls of magnets in the drum that we store it in.

I run my troll on shell regular diesel, she is totally standard and rolling on BFG A/T Tyres. Im getting 22mpg around town, not done any distance driving yet. I would like to start using bio if i can get it locally or a veg oil/diesel mix if possible without damaging my engine.

I've just bought my Maverick 2.7td and got 105 miles out of £40 quid???
Any advice taken.

Did you calculate that figure properly? Like full tank to full tank againor did you go by the fuel gauge:augie

mine was in the red so pured 40 lts of veggi oil.. oh and 20lts of diesel it now reads FULL!

tut tut tut :doh
the fuel gauge isnt linear so you must fill to the brim. IE right to the ruddy top, just wetting the rim :lol of your filler:augie

I did that on my last fill ups, right to the top of the filler, then i ran it until i dare and i got about 410 miles on a full tank, then when i filled it back up again it took 67 litres, working out at around 27.5mpg which isn't bad to say the flexi on my front exhaust was blowing....thats fixed now though so i will see what i get out of it on the next top up
