Sounds a bit much that, even if they are replacing the brake pipes.

Wtf is a damaged lock stop ? Sounds like they're a bunch of idiots

it does sound alot BOYS......:doh

but i dont see how you can have damaged stop locks :nenau i even put grease on them before the MOT !.........? :lol

it looks like a will have too find a cheaper garage :naughty

The only reason I could see the lock stops being an issue is if there is fouling of a suspension or brake component on full lock, caused by the absence or excessive wear of say the plastic caps, that would otherwise be prevented if they were present or in good condition.

Drop links should be easy enough.
Brake pipe shouldn't be too hard with a cut and join or even full length.
Worst job will be CV boot.

I'd reckon you could maybe find a garage to do it for a sneak under £300.

Just don't bring it to the one I work at :lol

£50 in parts at most as for the steering stops their complete idiots prob failed it cos the caps are worn or missing

I have had couple of cambelts done in garages on mrs cars i find main dealers although very expensive hourly rates they do the jobs on fixed time basis so you get the job done properly with correct equipment for similar price to the independant that have prob never done the job before.

Most of them have a spring loaded tensioner now, u just line 2 lines up and the correct tension is on the belt, as long as u check the idlers, water pump and replace the lot with a genuine Cambelt kit, ya conna go wrong :)
