When I hit 65mph in 5th gear at around 2600/700 revs get a drumming vibration from the engine. Disapears at 70mph. Its OK in 4th gear at 2.6/2.7rpm and also at 65mph, just happens when its in 5th gear.
Any ideas anyone

Thanks

i get a slight 'vibration' at those revs when traveling at the constant speed. its like somethings resonating, like a slight judder, difficult to describe really. it has never really bothered me. i also get it in 4th, but thats harder to notice

You could try removing the tray from under the engine/ gearbox, this is quite large and may contribute to the resonance, or affect something else.
Other than that there is often panel resonance, I have never noticed it on mine but I have copious amounts of waxoyl on my panels.
Could also be a loose bumper mounting.
Check the bonnet, there are rubber adjusters one each side at the front.
If while it is resonating, what happens if you press in the clutch and allow the revs to drop, you can then determine if it is engine speed or road speed related.
good luck,I hate rattles and squeeks while I'm driving..
Best regards, Rustic

Are you sure its not tyre wobble or slightly out of balance tyres?

Reason you might not notice it in 4th is because of higher engine revs so a bit more noise in the cabin
