Gave the jerry can a colour change as wasn't too struck on the original colour.
Went for a midnight blue satin which tones it down and is fitting with the colour of the motor.

Still got more plans for the mods but nothing over the top.
A full front winch bumper is the next thing I want to design and build at work.

little mod iv'e been putting off for about 5 years.
Adjustable panard rod to bring the the rear axle back to centre.
Standard panard with 120 mm cut out and a turn buckle,threaded rod and lock nuts welded in:thumb2:thumb2

Currently being powder coated in ultra marine blue to match the rear springs.

Just done some swatting online, this will be why my passengers side rear wheel fouls the tub more then!!! :doh

Yep,when you lift the suspension the natural arc of the panard pulls the rear diff to one side.
This allows the panard to be adjusted to sit the axle central under the chassis.
My other little project is a panard mounting drop bracket which achieves the same outcome.

Set the axle up central but will go for a drive tomorrow night and re check it.

Panhard drop bracket is the proper way as it happens. I believe the panhard should be as close to parallel with the axle at rest . A while since I read up on it :lol

Got one of the them ready to weld up at work.:thumb2
Was just testing the water as to which is the best way to approach the off centre axle issue once lifted.
Some say drop bracket,some say adjustable panard and some say both.
Didn't take much to pull it back to centre.
I'd say 20mm at best.

Clearly the dropped bracket is the way forward to keep the pan-hard rod as close to parallel to the axle as possible, but be sure it is ridged enough, Rick

Am fabricating it from 5mm steel.
Picks up on the original mounting and the hole above.

Sounds good but how much longer is it than the original? and how much more stiffener plate are you employing? Rick

lowers the original mounting hole by 50 mm to match the lift.
will get the pics of it when i have it finished.
basically just a copy of this one.

Had my old steel wheels sat in the shed waiting for me to refurbish for a while and I finally got round to getting on with them this week :thumbs
First job was to strip them back to bare metal and get a coat of zinc rich primer on them.
