drove some of the lanes today all are passable with care although you may get the odd scratch .
turned onto one which starts of on tarmac and leads to houses .
A VW Passat followed me i thought he was going to one of the houses but
NO HE FOLLOWED ME.
I had to stop select 2nd low and dif lock to climb over a gradient.
Made it with some wheel spin and a bounce or two.
LOOKED IN MY MIRROR ONLY TO SEE PASSATan 05 reg FOLLOWING ME>
HE DIDNT MAKE IT.:clap

ROFL cant wait, its gonna be a lot of fun.

I just hope it rains so we can get muddy too ;)

ok heres the deal, had a look at the body mount, the onset of rot looks fairly reasonable, i have patched the sills with gaffer tape :augie to keep the old plod from pullin me over for havein a gap the size of the english channel in my sill :augie i'm still in two minds whether or not to come, would love to do the lanes but am scared of further damage to the sills and chassis, i do think the old girl could do it but as she's my only form of transport and as many of you know about my baby girl i cant afford for the truck to be off the road for any long period of time

OK lets be open here, your sills are nothing, you have a chassis, your motor is not going to fall apart, one of the reasons that we cannot banger a T2,is we could only race a T2 if it was T2 motors only so equal advantage, and I do not think that will happen, they are too hard, your sills are only relevant to your seat belt points, Rick

your sills will be fine it's not like your doing any welsh lanes :D. unless you start using waffle boards and they flick out when you try and go, Even then they still take alot.

East Midlands Rally

R1cho where abouts in Derbyshire are you.
What day are you thinking in coming?

R1cho, don't worry about the sills mate :) I've landed my truck on them plenty of times and so have my mates. The odd dent is all.:D
Go for it, enjoy yourself :thumbs
