This morning I did something that was on my list for a long time, blanked the EGR and did the VNT mod.
Took me 40 or so minutes to do it, but after al long time of thinking about it, it was quite easy to do. Only my hands were a little big for the space available.
I didn't make a lot of pictures, but something is better than nothing :nenau
Everything opened up. In the end I had to remove the intake to the turbo to give me some extra workingspace.
And yes it is a bit wet, I also had to remove one of the coolinghoses so some fluid came out.
And everything back into place:
After this it was time to work on the EGR.
No pictures of the work itself, but this is the plate I used:
If there is some time this afternoon I'll see if I can fit the new horn into place.
For now there is a trailer behind the car to do some work.
This week I've also ordered some new engine oil and a lot of filters.
Gonna replace the airfilter by a K&N replacement. Got some nice discount on it, so everything for the sticker
The truck is making some more miles since I've got a new job since the half of july.
It's holding on fine and it is nice to feel that the work that is done is making longer travels a lot more pleasent
