It was time to give the audio a little update.
She's not sounding like it should so we got some goodies :)

Yesterday was the hottest day of the week so why not change the audio?

Dashboard pulled a little to the front and the old radio already removed:

The new radio:

It isn't a realy fancy model.
Just goes with al the standards for today. First looked at some Pioneers but this one does match the old radio a bit and I like to keep it some sort of original look.

The reason the old speakers gave up:

The new stuff :D :

And then when playing with the new system some bad noises coming from the back.
Didn't noticed there were speakers as well :doh

So today the lovely lady of the package delivery came up again with 2 new speakers for the rear...

These are the ones I've missed...:

And no, that isn't blood on the panel :lol
Some old mud and needs a good clean.

Hmm seemed almost like the ones in front...

Pioneer somethingIdon'tremember the type speaker

Look from the back:

The wires go into the old speaker cover so only 5 cm or so is visible in the back.

Best thing is, the sound is way, way better then it used to be!

Overview picture with the fire extinguisher also in place:

Only thing I'm still looking for is something else for the blue box.
It has some handy stuff in it when I get a breakdown etc. so want to keep that stuff in the car.
Besides of the picture it stands more to the passenger side so it won't fly past the front seats (somebody made me test it out).

And since I wanted some extra light at the front I've got myself a pair of these http://www.myhellalights.com/index....y-lamps/halogen-lamps/500-series-black-magic/
Got them in America so it takes some time to get here.

I love your truck:thumbs

There’s something about the commercials that I just like so much.

I think they do as well.
The only version I would like with rear seats is the long wheelbase. The short one is just perfect without it.

Someone say commercials?

Lol

I have competition here boys for best commercial by the looks of it

By the way!!! You better make it over to the UK for some action on the green lanes, or maybe we come to you!!!

I've just checked!!!

Rotterdam to Hull, get it booked pal!!!! I want to see this machine in September on the Salisbury Plains!!!!

Haha maybe next year :)
We've got a 4x4 course right next door here.

To much stuff to do on the house this year :(
And hoping to have a different job so I can get some days off. September is the start of our season so from the end of this month no more days off..

But you are always welcome and I will come to the UK
Been there multiple times and always enjoy it.

Front speakers are 5 x 7 inch.
They don't exactly fit into the hole in the door. I made a little frame so they do fit.
They need to come a little forward, the speaker cover is big enough so this isn't a problem when refitting the doorpanel/

The rear speakers are 7 x 4.4 inch. They are Pioneer TS-44 speakers if you want to take a look at them.

Brilliant, thank you :thumb2

Recently bought a set of Hella 500 black magic lights wich got on the car last week.
The only thing I didn't had time for was getting a cable inside the car and hook the switch up until today.

What does it look like?

Did the adjustment on the wall of the house so we will see if it's okay this way.

Only thing I want now are some lights on the back so I have some sight when reversing with the trailer behind the car in winter time

Thanks!
On the pictures you won't say they are realy bright, but after taking a look into them I know they are :D

Time for a little update.

Little time ago I went for a job interview and since I'm living on walking distance of Germany the fastest way to get down (needed to go for a place in the Netherlands) was on the autobahn.
And after 15 years she still runs fine

And then last weekend I fitted some extra lights on the back.
Don't have many pictures of it. This was half way:

And done:

I need the lights to make reversing in the dark with the trailer on the back a little easier and also having some work lights.
Not completely dark, but gives a good view:

And then there was some bad news...went away with the car and came back to find some oil on the back.
Couldn't find it in the first pace, but after a good look the right wheel on the back was covered in oil and so was the brake drum.
Opened it and straight away some parts came out:

Brought the car to the garage on tuesday to get it looked after and saving myself some time.
Only the car is still at the garage at the moment. The good news is, the oil came from a seal on the rear diff and can be easily replaced.
The bad news is, the broken parts are from the hand brake mechanism and Nissan thinks it is made out of gold...:doh
So we looked to find a mechanism on a scrapped car or another route but so far no luck and the garage fixing it should ordered the part right now if things are still the same.
The car has do drive again, so hopefully I'll get it back nex tuesday when the part is delivered and I can swap an old Golf back to my 4x4.

Let me know if you're struggling for bits, I'll be able to get those for you no drama :thumb2
