Looks like your truck is coming along nicely doesn’t it. The door panels look neat after your little mods to transform to LH drive versions.

Thanks!

Got a small update today with some window spoilers:

Tomorrow the car will get some more ground clearance in the front because it is leaning a bit.
I've seen some more Terrano's doing it, but mine will be sorted :)

Time again for a little update.
Since the last time the frond end is 6,5 centimeters higher of the ground :)

Also did a little modification on the front:

Was prepping some stuff in the front for some mantainance today and was left over with a little bit of orange paint.

Oh and did I say mantainance?
Well changed these on the front, all the rubbers missing on the photos weren't on the car any more...

And to finish the day:

The last one of the U joints that wasn't replaced.

Still got a little vibration while driving 120 km/h but there is oil on it's way for the rear diff.
Hoping this will solve it.

Coming along nicely, those anti roll bar links are a pain.

Just a thought about your vibration. Check the sliding joint on the front propshaft, any sideways movement will cause vibration. Reach under the truck and grab the propshaft and shake it around, you’ll soon feel the movement. I ran for several weeks with the front propshaft removed until i found a replacement.

Thanks! :)

I will take a look on that one.
Recplaced the front shaft 1,5 month ago but this one still has waranty on it.

Found the problem, the new U joint had some play on it :doh

New one is on it's way so we should be good

Today a little package arrived to kill the time before the new u joint arrives

Front diff, gearbox and transfer case will get some fresh oil this year as well.

And thinking about getting myself a pair of lwb springs.
One of the springs has some wear on it and it is lower than the other one making te car lean over just a little bit.
Can I just fit the (longer) lwb springs and lift the front end or do I miss something?

Pause!!!! DO NOT put that GL5 in the gearbox matey, you'll be fine with it for the transfer box and front diff but gearboxes on these need GL4 due to the copper parts inside, the GL5 eats copper and wears it out .

Oh no it's for the rear diff :)
Found this oil on the forum for the rear one.

No thought about putting it in the gearbox.

Sorry, had a short night and a long day :doh
The oil is to be used for the rear diff only.

Time for a little update.

After discovering the new U joint was giving some troubles I got another one in and after 1 week it seems safe to say this one is okay
Also changed the oil on the rear diff, the old one was all black

Couple of days ago I decided it was time to help the oil light a little bit.
After burning for more than 16.000 km's and 2 new sensors I thought it was safe to say it was wrong all the time.
In the beginning we have also done a pressure test and that was also more then okay.

So after getting home from work, parked the car and walked right into the shed to get some tools:

And to find this behind the cluster, I think the old mechanic doing the car was a good looking guy :D

And finally the way it is supposed to look:

At the same night I ordered a fan shroud since mine is missing and went up early today to give the misses a ride to her work.
Got home, and istalled the thing. Engine was still a little bit hot but who cares :lol

Didn't had the right bolts to attach it propperly, but nothing can't be done with some good old tyrap.

With the fan shroud also came a set of LWB springs.
Installing them wil be later this week and I'm waiting for a new key fob to be delivered.

It is so good to see people fixing these trucks up and keeping them in good condition. I really must sort the photos out in my project threads.

Good luck with the rest of the work.

Last wednesday I've changed the rear springs to LWB ones.

Some pictures while doing the work:

Used the tip by making life easy with a bottle jack between the axle.

New vs old:

Spring in place:

Also set the front a little higher to match the rear.
Car came up about 3 or 4 cm's but rides much better now.

Want to give the front a little more height to make it level, but I need to re-index the torsionbars to do so.
Got a good look today but it sure hasn't been done in a while so we will do that some other day, Not in 30+ degrees

Any tips to make that a little simpler?

I also gave myself a new key fob so I can unlock, but also lock the car again by remote :augie
New keys etc didn't mak it work any more so got a new one and everything is fine again.

Start spraying penetration oil all over your torsion bar bolts and brackets repeatedly. :thumb2
