Can you replace the light duty for a heavy duty? And does it make much difference to the average user?
1.3 ltr for the later models. there isnt a light and heavy duty is there? just that the earlier ones had a heavier casing/different gearing?i had this exact question with my 54 plate, the fluids atleast for the rear diff were the same but there is a heavy or light duty rear diff so fluid levels can vary. someone put a link to a website for me? possibly milners or something?

lighter casing material alex... early ones were a bit more cast, ours are pressed. ours are lighter, we go faster
it may have something to do with the fixed hubs bringing down mpg perhaps? boosting it up via the rear diff? pure guess work and a bottle of red on the side..
Size doesent matter it's how you use it, right? :naughty
