Are the 2.4 petrol front and rear riffs lower ratio than the 2.7tdi :nenau
Mine is the 2.7 and has the H233b rear and R180 front ithink with a 4.3 ratio.
Need to get the gearing down to allow it to set off better in 2H :thumb2
Cheers guys

yes they are, petrol 4.625, TDi 4.375, if you want petrol diffs I have them, Rick

Thanks Rik, need them posting though. Could you put them on a pallet?
I'll Pm you tomorrow. Off to bed now :thumb2

I'll give you all the info mate as I do it, hope it's worth the effort! Lol

No mate, the 285 x 75 x16 are big enough. Not enough gain for the amount of hassle it causes.

Yeah it just looks awesome!!!!! :augie
But yeah if it helps 33's that much then I might look into that mod myself :naughty

Now then, there's a thought :sly
I could sure light up the turf with some 4.6 diffs in the Pearl :naughty

I asked the lads yesterday why you hadn't thought of this mod yet Pete :augie

I'm always learning mate :D
Also I didn't think I'd still have the beast this time last year :doh
Waiting for lokka news so will be on front diff anyway. Rear axle all rebuilt and fitted but hey ho, back diff no biggie really.
When I got my first terrano it was petrol and I new nothing about them. One of the first jobs I had help with from here was a timing chain job ;)
Everything I know about these trucks and 4x4 has pretty much come from this here forum :clap

That's a good point actually, If I did fit 2.4 axles the front would also need to be swapped, would that mean my Lokka wouldn't fit as the ratios would be different? :nenau

Nah. lokka is not effected by ratio. :thumb2

But is effected if the front diff are a different version. Unless you go deep and swap the ring and pinions over, If thats even possible?

Surely if you swap the ring and pinions over, you have just defeated the object of changing the diff?

No, it won't.

I meant keep the original diff center with lokka in, But put the ring and pinions from the petrol version on the diff with the lokka in. If thats even possible, as they could be completely different.

Ahhh... OK, that would work...:doh

R180 to another R180 , same Lokka . Just think it would be easier to keep all the original diff innards with associated wear and swap the Lokka itself.
Obviously not new diff type to old type though.
