R180 to another R180 , same Lokka . Just think it would be easier to keep all the original diff innards with associated wear and swap the Lokka itself.
Obviously not new diff type to old type though.

Was not sure if they were the same, But if they are then I'd do this.

A lot less work to remove the Lokka assembly, remove the 35 teeth crown wheel and bolt the 37 teeth one onto the already sorted Lokka assembly, see know reason to assume it will not fit, Rick

Would have to change the pinion gear also.

I did not make it clear enough, the new assembly including the Lokka is to be fitted to the original petrol housing which has the mating 8 teeth pinion, I also forgot to mention that as the carrier will be from the diesel diff the crown wheel to pinion back lash may need to be altered as will the pre-load on the carrier bearings, this is in both cases accomplished, by interchanging the shims on both sides, but as you now have shims from two diffs you should have enough variety of thicknesses, and last, do not forget the keep the bearings to their original mates, this means fitting the outer race holders to the petrol diff from the diesel one, Rick

What a bloke :thumb2 I'm green with envy of the years of experience you've had with these beasts Rick :bow

aha yes that makes sense, didn't think of it that way.

it is not till you get front and rear diffs together that you can see the very different beef between the two,

the one on the left was the one I locked up (weld) this is how the two diffs look on a pallet for shipping, must admit my heart sank when I saw the 34 marked on the crown wheel, but no a count of the teeth is indeed 37, there is plenty of room to put a drivers seat and mirrors in the package for jims terrano, Rick

yea before you post, I do not know my left from my right, sorry, Rick

I am not familiar with Terrano diffs so this may not be correct but often petrol axles have smaller half shafts with fewer splines than diesels so you would need to change the side gears in the diff to be able to keep the diesel shafts.
Of course you could fit the entire petrol axle but as you will have bigger wheels they will probably break shafts easily.

If the one on the Pallet there in Rick's picture is a Petrol one then it looks as if the flanges are exactly the same so i reckon you'd get away with using the Diesel shafts

T S could be right re half shafts on the rear axle, certainly Petrol gearboxes are different to Diesel, but simple enough to change the side gears if they do prove to be different but I doubt it, as for the front the shafts are all the same, Rick
