Hi I'm planning a day out to view the heather in bloom

Heather blooms August/ September.

I tend to avoid summer routes as they can very overgrown and scratchy.

Also people tend to be out with families walking and so on

This could possibly be the itinerary

EASY MORNINGS LANING THEN A LIGHT SNACK & COMFORT STOP AT AM SOME POINT & A FEW MORE LANES & THEN MAYBE A BBQ ON THE MOORS
YOU WILL NEED TO BRING YOUR OWN BBQ AND FOOD
MAYBE AN EVENING DRIVE AS WELL ( TEST YOUR ROOF LIGHTS OUT )
WATCH THE SUN GO DOWN FROM HOUNDKIRK MOORE

The lanes wont be pre driven so may have to make some changes on the day But will be checked against (tro) closures

SO BRING THE KIDS ALONG (dogs welcome BUT on lead please)

MAKE A FAMILY DAY OUT OF IT
OR EVEN A WEEKEND AS THERE ARE CARAVAN SITES NEAR BY

groups of 4 so group leaders required

will hopefully have it sorted today.just going to blank off the damper and remove the knackered pipe.
as for the odd revving issue going to check all the connections on the fuel lines to make sure everything is tight and none of the rubber hoses are perished or split.

then the hydraulics on the clutch failed:doh
crash boxed it to the nearsest garage forecourt and got the spanners out and blanked off the damper pipe as it had split about 3/4 of the way down and spat fluid everywhere.

It must be the time of the year, mine done the same thing on the way back from my holiday in Bournemouth. luckily most of the trip was in 5th gear all the way so i didnt need my clutch, it finally burst properly in the co-op about a quarter of a mile from my house.

I cute the pipe then removed the fitting from the T junction. Put a round headed screw in the end of the pipe and screwed the fitting back into the T junction bit. No more leaks

fanny...i cant make it either, but its purely that i NEED to get my shed built and my front fence re built and my Mazda break discs changed plus pads plus fix the caliper

i wont know for definate until thursday/friday.all depends on the work situation.been on holiday for a week and came back to a paintshop full of re-works.have just about broke its back but its put us behind with the other work.
as soon as i know i will get in touch with you ian.

i have a tow rope , but no tow bar lol , dunno for certain if i can go yet

you will be fine even in the wet.the first time i did this route was in the rain in a standard lwb terrano on all terrain tyres.coped with every lane fine.ian always brings tow strops and waffle boards as do i.dont need a tow bar as you have got 2 recovery points on the rear and 2 on the front plus a pig tail.
