Grind back the lip on the inside of the roof, jigsaw out an over sized panel say 50mm all round, so just measure the hole and add 100mm, then as I say stick it in with tiger seal/sikaflex

I reckon that's gotta be the easiest/ cheapest you could prolly get a bit of white acrylic/pollycarbonate off eBay for a tenner and fiver for the tigerseal

Thats what i'd be doing

Coming from you, that worries me, with the things you have done to your truck, I am surprised you didn't recommend converting it into an internal snorkel...

Well I'd be looking at a roof mount intercooler I think :sly
The ragtop idea sounds great too :thumbs

IF however I was considering a claim................................1st I'd be on their case for a new valuation. Just quote the glasses guide price for your age truck.
Then demand full showroom spec rebuild, eventually settling for a cash write off and buy back. The buy back bit IS as said before statutary, and a % of value.
It needs to be a decent payout though as you'll be penalised for the claim over the next 5 years.
Unless ofcourse you can plead negligence from the wind owner or tree maintainer :sly

Nah you'll devalue the truck big time. S/H sunroof may cost more than a bit of plastic but will look better for an hour's work. I bet it'll take longer to piss about with the jiggy and grinder and tigerseal etc etc

Yeh but what's an old Terrano worth ? It's still gonna have the reminents of a big dent in the roof :D

Drop the headling. Remove sunroof cassette. Push out dents then bond in a white acrylic sheet from the inside, about say 7mm thick with tiger seal or similar, holding it in place with gaffa tape temporary until tiger seal goes off, refit headlining

What he said!!!! easy fix!!! If you were closer I'd love to help. Like you say it might look a tad ugly but you'd have your truck back

I was expecting to see your motor in 2 pieces, thats minor damage

Ah you mean like this :augie

reminds me I must get my off road sunroof working as it stops at half way at the mo, could well need it as makeitfit did, my doors are rather heavy to open with the steel added as tree sliders, Rick

I tried getting out the "top" door first  it weighs a ton when it faces the sky :lol:lol
Seat belts are also a challenge to undo at that angle and then once undone you fall to the bottom like a bag of spuds :doh Oh the indignity of it all :lol
