time to get my money's worth - i don't usually ask technical questions!

the little digital bit in-between the clock son my dash that shows the temp mileage time etc. has gone dark, it was always dark on the right hand third now another section has gone and it is two thirds dark. The writing is all there nd the display is clear it just seems to be the back lighting that is a fault.

so is this just bulbs? if so what sort do I buy and any tips on changing them?

thanks in advance

I cannot see my clock at night, so I guess there are one or more bulbs in there, and I have just taken the dash out of the scrapper, it is in the barn, the barn at home is in Bexhill, and right now I am in Birmingham or I would have gone and had a look, I may not be back home for 10 or more days, so I have not helped a lot have I, but if it will wait, but then I am sure someone else will be along to tell us both, Rick

i have a few spare leds for the dash if you want them ? , but remember they are leds not bulbs , so polarity is important unlike bulbs

cheers Briggie, but is your dash the same? does it have the central LCD display?

dash

I changed my ones, very quick and easy job.

I put led ones and as mentioned aboved, polarity is important. I found them too bright so got new normal ones on ebay for £3 I think.

to clarify, my dash has a central LCD section between the clocks, grey with black writing and it displays trip miles, total miles, outside temperature, etc.

It is this LCD section that is now (2/3) in darkness.

I think same applies; its just like a calculator display so not self-lit....there should be bulbs but probably not in the same position as the older analogue displays.

i will take it to bits one of the days then and have a look. Thanks for the advice everyone :thumb2

Looking at the LED kits.

My dash lights work but the clock is dark, as my mav is 94 I guess it has a bulb, how do I get to it, or is it easier to use a torch at night:lol

Taking dash out looks a problem:doh
