I got a bolt with the correct thread to seal mine off but to be honest I wish that I had replaced the damper pipe instead.
Possibly because some clutch assembly's will exhibit a rough low frequency vibration during operation and the damper pipe will absorb much of this....I'm curious as to why you would have preferred to replace the damper pipe ?
