Nooooooo, when we led the world on engineering BSP was adopted worldwide as the standard for pipe threads, and it still continues even though we have fallen by the wayside, Rick

That's true, but if you buy any cheap plastic hose connections these days, that what you think are 3/4" BSP they are a coarser thread, and if it's say a through hose brush on an extendible handle, rarely do they fit, and disconnect or leak at the first sign of a side force....:doh:doh....

You end up with PTFE tape or amalgamating tape around the joint.:augie

Cheap copies from the far east I guess.:nenau

I think JT means that he'd rather he'd replaced the existing damper pipe with a new flexi, rather than a like-for-like replacement?

All I did with mine was cut the steel damper pipe, flatten it between two hammers, then bend it over a couple more times and hammer it flat :thumb2

I'm curious as to why you would have preferred to replace the damper pipe ?

Thanks
Possibly because some clutch assembly's will exhibit a rough low frequency vibration during operation and the damper pipe will absorb much of this....
