my leak is the flexi and no one could get one in time as its only from a nissan dealer.
so ordered one up to pick it up when home.
pipe and a ltr of oil £50.00 discounted.at home now so will do repair.

You need to find yourself a local friendly auto factor... Ours is "Express Motors"... When I did mine, I called them about 11am, and they had the bits in by 4pm the same day, both pipe, and slave cylinder. The worst case ever has been when we had that sudden snow a few weeks back, where something I needed did not arrive until 1pm the next day because of traffic problems, instead of 10, which is what they had said, and then they called me to let me know when it had arrived.

They have even lent me tools to do a job, and on several occasions, where the book lists 2 potential parts, have ordered both in, and we have either done the comparison there and then, or if it is not that easy, they have let me take them both home, to compare which one is right once I have the bot off, returning the other once finished, and it is all done on trust.

They are not only cheaper, but the service is second to none.

clutch working a dream now.
will take old pipe to hydraulics shop to see if the can repipe it.

To be honest, if you are going to go to that expense, just get them to make you the pipe with out the 3 way block, so you can bypass the damper pipe in the future, as that thing will at some point cause you a problem.

Basically you want a short version of the front flexible brake pipe, with the Banjo on one end, and the pipe union at the other.

Have to agree with mr ferret use your local motor factors i use a bullseye local to me old guy in there is a font of knowledge more than not can get things same day
How many times do we use ebay and get sent the wrong things or go into a main dealer and recieve customer service as if youve walked in with shit on your shoes (i have but thats another story not my fault they think more about there shiny floor than joe public with cash to spend)
End of my rant back to sleep laid in my caravan after night shift cant sleep

i read up on the damper and you take the risk of blowing the clutch without it.
best be safe as the damper would not be on it if its not needed.

That's interesting... can you provide a link to the info?

When I was having all the trouble with my clutch peddle, and looking into it, I could not find anything about it, other than it seems to rust away above the rear wheel axle, letting air into the system.

I ended up disconnecting mine, and I can not actually feel any difference at all, but would like to know if it is likely to cause a problem in the future.

Right of all of the expert mechanics out there and none of you picked up on this bolt!!!!!!!!

Unlocked the nut extended the bolt to the full extent of it's travel and hey presto normal pedal returned!!!!!!!!!!

Try this guys as it costs £0 before you waste your money on an illusive bush that you might not even need lol

I hope the high res pic of the clutch pedal helps people as well in the future

Excellent clear pictures. :clap

So this looks like the pedal stop height adjuster. Looking at the photo, I presume you wound the bolt in a downwards (clockwise) direction to take up that bit of extra travel, hence stopping the pedal from rising further than the other pedals?
Have I got this right? :nenau

My pedal does exactly the same, I'll take a contortion pill and have a look! :bow

Just bothered to read through this as I think mine has been doing something a little weird too. Trouble is if I concentrate, looking for the issue it doesn't happen so I could be imagining it.

Sometimes when I take my foot off the clutch, it feels as if it returns and the vehicle drives normally but I *think* the pedal then pops up an extra inch or so and taps the underside of my foot! Am I going a bit mad or is this similar to what others are experiencing?

Maybe I also need that elusive bush, Mel, did you ever post a picture of your bush? :naughty

Surely all that does is adjust where the pedal stops, rather than why it stops prematurely?

Unless we are all talking different "Clutch" problems...:lol

That is exactly what mine does, but now I pick mine up with my toe.

Adjusting the nut in the pictures does adjust the clutch pedal height. Just did mine today. There is a picture of all this in the workshop manual in the downloads section and it gives the correct pedal height and travel distance. Mine was in and around the correct height but gave about 2 inches of free movement before any connection with the clutch linkage. What I can't figure out is how to get at the clutch free play nut with a spanner to adjust the free play. It's the nut further behind the pedal adjusting nut shown in the photos and I can't figure out how it's possible to get a spanner on the lock nut. Am I missing something?

I just took it out completely and adjusted it by hand and then got a ring spanner and dropped it over the top and tightened it against the plate

I have the same issue with my Clutch pedal too, have to put my foot under to return it to the full position.

So, it looks like I need two of these bushes , is that right ?
