ok right,i have read the posts and i am away with my newly got t2.
it did not take long to notice something up with the clutch/pedal.
i was told about it befor i got the car but my mate who i got it from,he has had it 8 years, has lived with it.
now when i drive i start to lose the clutch pedal and the gears are harder to get into.
the pedal seems to want to start to lose the travel.
i lift up the pedal with my foot and all is well for a while but it starts to lose its travel again, then lift it up and all is ok.
i had to top up the reserve with bf but can find no leaks around the master or slave unite.
i am thinking master but some one else might know.
other than that and coming from a nippy smooth car to this i am well pleased
well apart from the fuel going faster.i am introducing it to wvo so am not to worried about mpg.
any one know for deffo befor i buy parts.thanks.

That is what mine did, there are 4 things it could normally be.

The master cylinder... firstly, the reservoir only slips over the top and is easy to dislodge, so make sure nothing is leaking out the bottom of that. Put your hand up under the dash, and feel for any damp fluid where the clutch peddle joins the master cylinder forks, if it is leaking, that is most likely where you will feel the run off.

The flexible pipe down by the Slave cylinder allows the brake fluid to get between the inner pipe and outer covering, and as you use the peddle, the extra fluid balloons out the covering until it gets a very small leak in it. The fluid comes out like a vapour, so is nearly impossible to find, and any that does run down, seems to go right under the crimp, or onto the slave cylinder so does not really show on the pipe.

The Damper pipe, which runs from a block built into the flexible pipe corrodes over the rear axle, and the last place in the world you are looking for a leak in the clutch system is over the rear axle... Most people seem to disconnect this damper pipe, as it does not seem to make any difference. There is a thread on here, where instead of buying the listed flexible pipe that has the 3 way block built in, they got a front brake flexible pipe and used that instead, solving 2 problems in one.

Lastly, it could be the slave cylinder leaking, which was what I thought was originally wrong with mine, as the fluid leaks behind the rubber boot, and then washes away, but when I replaced mine, and had someone help me bleed the clutch, that was when I spotted the ballooning of the flexible pipe, so don't think the slave was actually at fault, but it got changed anyway.

46525M OR 46512M I Don't have exact part on me atm as its in the glovebox & its cold. I got mine from nissan linwood (arnold clark branch)

What a girl!!!!! Going to get me the spring as well I think as when I initially looked mine had popped out of the hole on the right hand side making the problem even worse when re-attached

Can you remember what you paid?
