Right so my clutch pedal has been feeling a little strange recently

When I initially press it, there is travel of about 2 inches where I get no resistance if that makes sense and then when I start to feel resistance I know when I'm "on the clutch" if that makes sense.

I want remove that play of a few inches so as soon as I press the pedal I want to know that I'm straight on the clutch

I may have to do a video tomorrow if I get time to explain what I mean correctly as I don't think I've been very clear

Would I be able to remove this play with the adjustment bolt on the clutch pedal?

There's a small white nylon 'top-hat' bush that fits in the hole in the pedal the clevis pin goes through. This falls apart and gives a lot of play in the pedal.

sounds like your pedal is not returning to the full up position, try flicking it up with your foot under the pedal, if it comes up then the pedal fulcrum bush needs replacing, silly little plastic bush, or the return spring has broken, Rick

Any one know where you get these bushes from... My Nissan dealer knew nothing about them, and wanted to order in a whole pedal assm, which would take 4 to 6 weeks, and cost almost as much as the truck...

DO you have a part number or any thing?

I'll take a look at that later on and have a look, sorry to be a pain but does anyone have any pictures of it?

The pedal does come back up to it's normal position but it is the highest pedal of the 3 but if I do push the pedal down to the point I feel resistance then it sits at the same height as the others.

The return spring seems fine I did poke my head under and check that and greased it at the same time as it was squeaking quite badly

Mine has started to do this... had a look underneath and it looks like the release bearing arm and clutch pedal lever should have some sort of bush or spacer between them?

I can push the clutch pedal into position where it should be and there seems to be a 5mm or so gap. Not sure if something had fallen out or if there is a fault elsewhere?

Also check your clutch fluid level too, could be a leak in the system or the flexi hose expanding.

have you checked the bleed/damper pipe thingy?

Sounds exactly the same issue that I have, just come back here as now my starter is sorted out I want to get this sorted out next.

It does feel as if there is something missing where the play is it's odd, I don't think that the fluid or pipes are at fault here to be honest but I'll see if I can get in the footwell soon and get some pics up and try and figure out whats going on, I'm hoping it is just as simple as replacing that bush, is that a simple job?

Right here is a video of the clutch play that I'm trying to explain, the clutch is fine and the car pulls brilliantly, it's just when the pedal returns to that upmost position that there is that 1-2inch of play where there is just no resistance, it just feels so weird underfoot :(

Hope someone can advise me as to what this is, if you need me to try and explain again I'll try but thats the best I can do lol

Having seen your vid I would say the little plastic bush has gone tween the pedal and the clevis, easy replacement once you get the bush, I made one from something I had laying around it is about the size of a biro pen, but that is too brittle, Rick

Have you got any close up pictures of where this should be fitted to?
