He's got 2 months more at that rate then he gets minimum wage :D
His main ambition at the mo is to crack the TIG stuff. practiced a bit in college and we've got one in the garage now :naughty Stainless exhaust work coming up on the Black pearl to start with then move up to Alu :cool:
 
Hats off to the chap at least he has gone out and made a start on the long road of employment the rate is garbage but its a means to a end get some papers in your portfolio and the worlds your oyster

General mechanics apprenticeship so he's a while to go on the whole thing but is already doing all the garages welding it seems :D
 
Hope they appreciate him and start paying him a bit more.

I think they do to be fair :thumb2 He's got another 2 months then his wages will double to UK minimum wage :clap
It's not a perfect system but then he has a job and prospects, so many of his mates are just signed on and nowhere to go :eek:
jobs are few and far between round here. we're all self employed :naughty
 
Had a few hours in the sun this afternoon and fiddled a few minutes on the Black Pearl :D
Dug out my 99p Warn winch and got that in it's hole :thumbs
I love ebay :naughty

Lol we had sun here in Telford today too so I did a bit with the old Patrol :)

Got the last bit of the floor welded up this afternoon :) It's got a bit of rust cure on the wet looking bits.

A bit later on and the rust cure stuff has done it's work :rolleyes:

Seam sealer now on and will be ready for paint tomorrow. Then I can put all the trim back in, fantastic :D

Love it when stuff starts to go back together :clap

Not much of an update but I am reassembling at last :clap
New floor stone chip painted as I find it cheap and rufty tufty :thumbs
Floor timbers back in and bonded :)
Speaker gubbins still to sort , then I can get the plastic interior trims back on :sly
 
Getting there jock.

How strong is that stone chip? Would it be good for floor pans or is there something better to use?
 
It's not that strong but fine for storage area like here.
What about that pick up truck liner paint.
