How strong is that stone chip? Would it be good for floor pans or is there something better to use?

I did my floors with hammerite with a lot of sand in it. it was like painting with plaster. its rock hard

Whoo hoo, found another can of stone chip :sly So got this lot sprayed up properly.

I'll be doing the higher levels in black
Most of it's covered in plastic trim mind
Got to make some infill bits now to make sealed boxes for the speakers and so make them into subs :naughty
That'll be a challenge

Love rebuild time , especially when it works according to plan :thumb2
The winch does fit under the floor :clap

So with that all cool I set about cutting the rear box just under the door jam. This is where the fairlead will go .

Pilot holes in for the big bolts and cable slot.

My truck's been altered so much I forget sometimes what I did ages ago. This is a bit of 100mm x 50mm box steel I put in years ago as the arse end was a bit rusty and I knew I'd be doing this one day.

Now weld up the gaps so it's all strong again. then grind back so it's all flush

Bolt on the old fairlead

and check the door still closes :lol

Need to order a few new fairleads now and sort the wiring for the winch.

Update , again .

Hello again fans
I picked up the rear bumper from the powder coater's so I can cut it up again :doh
Having cut for the fairlead I had to modify the bumper again :lol So as the weather was fine I cut it up a bit. Damn that's 6mm of steel to munch through my cutting discs

Basically cut a bit out and turn it over and re-weld .
A bit like this.

The boy needs some more funds to modify his Fiesta project so with a bit of luck we'll get a chunk done now

Just like the Stig, plug him in and orff he goes :sly

I'll be grinding welds for a while to get a nice curve again before new powder coat

Might stick a sneaky LED in there me thinks :naughty

Pity your not close to me, could have sorted the powder coating out for you dirt cheap.
I've been looking at where I could fit a rear winch with out having to cut away any of the floor.
Are you running separate solenoid boxes for each winch or just one with a change over switch?

Do you really need one is the question ?
If you do then a plug n play one could be the answer. Maybe bolt it in for offroading weekends .
