The biggest hesitation I have with getting a pathfinder is the risk of the chassis failing as has been documented frequently. I know Nissan will check vehicles up to 12 years old, but this age limit is getting increasingly comprehensive with the age of the trucks.
How much can be checked visually during a typical viewing from underneath without needing to get spanners out?
What are the problem areas on the chassis to check and can they be easily seen if I get under one at a dealer?
