hi guys another thread another proble !!:eek:

while taking the wheels off today to inspevt the calipers i noticed the front studs are completly shredded look like the prick at the garage who fitted my wheels has cross threaded them so they will need replacing !!

how dificult is the process of changing them ?

paul

Best to take the hub off first though to allow proper hitting with your favourite hitting stick :thumbs

,

when i had the wheel off today it looks like i have too take off the disc aswell to allow the studs to come out when i hit them ??

are there any pics around to follow ?

Take it back to the prick in the garage, tell him what you found and get him to sort it under his warranty.

I have not tried it, but there may be enough room if you undo one of the caliper slide pins and swing the caliper out of the way on the other pin.
Someone else may know if this actually creates enough space to knock the studs out?

You are going to need to get the caliper out of the way in any event!

if you ARE tempted to remove the hub FFS watch out for the wiring to the ABS sensor. If you knacker the sensor its several hundred quid for a new one, or a hub from the scrapper....

.

hi what is the hub ffs ?

sorry to sound dumb but if i remove the caliper and carrier can i just knock the old bolts out with a club hammer then replace them ?

i dont really want to take the hub just incase something breaks
