Glad to say not me.

But not a good thing to happen,

No one hurt. But loads of damage,

I love the comments at the bottom of the page :lol
I'm not really a fan of them (been stuck behind them going too slow too many times).
I know there's quite a few on here have them (each to their own).

Still not good news though.

Caravans used to be made of sheet aluminium, and now many are made of GRP or composite plastics, I would think that the modern materials may have helped the spread of the fire.

The heat of the fire was enough to buckle and twist all the galvanised chassis, a sad loss, looking at the carnage, the report says mobile homes, but the tow hitches look like they are on touring caravans.
At the end of the season, that's a lot of caravans not yet sold, it would have been a lot of old stock going into next year.

Zippy might know this, how many new caravans would the average dealer have on site, at this time of year, are there that many caravans sold each year?

All I know is we got about 15 new and 40 second hand with more new arriving soon.

But highdridge are much bigger than we are

bloody shame that.
you can see why a min of 6mtrs needs to be between units on rally.

Don't like caravans, but I hope the dealership has proper insurance...

There really are some haters out there, aren't there? And the comments sections seems to lift up their rocks. I'm also a cyclist and it leaves me sadly shaking my head when I read the comments section following an article about a cyclist dying or suchlike.

When did society become so hateful and cynical? I don't remember it always being like this. :nenau

I've just reread my above post and spotted the possibility of it being misconstrued. I am referring to the people in the comments section of the caravan article and not Monaro Pete!

Just thought I'd make that absolutely clear, just in case... I've been having a bit of a week of being taken the wrong way at work :doh

I too cycle & keep off the roads as much as I can. I go across country to avoid the arses.
I also drive for a living & I ALWAYS give cyclists good room, I even hang back to wait for gap in on coming traffic, much to the dismay of drivers behind (if I cared).
People are in too much of a rush to give time for others, this is where the problem lies.
I dislike caravans as it seems the amount I have followed with tale backs of many vehicles. If only they'd pull in to a layby or similar to let others get on.
I also dislike tractors too, for this very same reason (they need to look up the highway code).

Don't even get me started on bloody women on horses.

Ere lad, nobody gets "stuck" behind me when I'm towing, and which is it, slowed down or giving time for others??

Tractors can be driven by 16 year olds with no road traffic experience. They have to take a test though, and are limited to a maximum width of 2.45 metres imagine that in a country lane.
Where we live we are in the country, and most roads leading to the village are country lanes, we know there will be tractors and horses around the next corner, and drive accordingly, it's these #€*#$¥* townies using our lanes as rat runs that cause the problems.

We find the women riders quite courteous, always wave after we have slowed down, we have one male rider, miserable git, who never waves nods or otherwise, so we don't slow down as much for him. I think he is arrogant, how dare anybody think that he is not in full control of his horse.
Horses should have nappies lol, what a mess they make, for some reason a horse travels several miles and deicides that our drive is the best place to do his first dump.:doh
PS we have great roses, actually fresh is not that good, you want well rotted lol.

With you on the horse poo sentiment! I've often wondered why they don't have to shovel it up afterwards (the riders, not the actual beasts themselves, obviously) as dog owners do.

Must say I've never seen a dog use a shovel. :lol
