I think i will phone tomorrow and say i want my deposit back unless he puts a new mot on it and if it passes without anything needed doing then i will offer to pay the mot fee.
If i can buy it with a new mot i could then pass it over to my usual garage that i trust to give it a good looking over and if there are any major problems i can contact the dealer as it dose come with a 3 month warranty and they would be obliged to repair it. Or if they refuse i could then take legal action. I understand my rights as the buyer and i don't give up on such things.
If this sounds like a bad idea the please tell me. It all depends if the trader will do the mot or not. If he point blank refuses i will know to walk away for sure.
I will look into the 2.7 but having a 2800kg braked towing limit it might be cutting it a bit fine.
