Hello. I recently joined this forum to research about a terrano i have been interested in. I have found the forum extremely helpful.
My problem is not directly related to terranos but more of seeking a bit advice as im sure there are many on here who have gone through the process of dealing with car traders.
I looked at a terrano that was advertised in the autotrader and was happy with the vehicle so put a deposit down to then be able to pick it up on the coming weekend.
My problem is that it was advertised to have a new m.o.t but this was not discussed at the time of viewing. I got the asking price knocked down by £200 because of a few minor things wrong with the vehicle. Today i phoned to confirm it would have a new m.o.t when collected as advertised as i forgot to check on the day but was told it wouldn't because i was getting it cheaper and if i didn't want it anymore i could get my deposit back as there has been a lot of interest for it so they could easily sell it to someone else.
So really i need to know where i stand in this situation. I am still really keen to buy the vehicle but with the m.o.t running out in February 2013 i am a little concerned.
Should i just except that i should of discussed this on the day so its my fault or should i agree to pay the full asking price to get the new m.o.t to save any surprises come February.
Im sorry to have such a long first post. Any advice would be much appreciated.
