Yes, sorry, forgot to put that in. It does have GPS which does work. You'll need a decent app - I use Copilot - which I'll need to install when ever I get round to it. One of the SD slots does say GPS over it, but I need another 32GB Micro SD card for it...

In the description it has this..

So look on the google play store for Memory Maps and you should find the android version.

Piccy time...

Its basically an Android Tablet in Head Unit form..

Not much RAM.. That's 856MB - Not enough to run a bath in PC terms.

But it was balanced off with a very good Quad Core CPU @ 1.6GHZ - not bad for any android system. It automatically throttles itself to what ever is needed.

Just a graphical display of system stats. The App is called System Monitor, I use it on my phone.

Still had to download the maps for Co-Pilot, so more on that later.

Music player displays tracks on the left, you scroll up and down with a swipe.

As you can see from the pictures, the sound is really good!!

I have downloaded Memory Maps, but not used it yet. I'll get round to it by Saturday and report back to you.

I'm not ashamed to say I watched all of the fanfare expecting to then watch a clip of the audio set-up :lol
I have questions mind... I could check out the description but I think i deserve the info from you as i followed your instructions as asked
Could I connect to my phones wifi and stream stuff, I.e. tunes and movies?
Are the available usb and memory card slots on the front panel
Can the ram be increased if it needs more
Could the steering wheel controls be used

I have more but that'll do for now :thumbs

I like the look of it. I haven't the same dash as you though cos I've a terrano, so it could be interesting fitting one

1. USB are leads of the back of the unit - currently in the glove box.
2. SD slots are behind the front pannel.
3. Phone connects, and plays music/audiobooks/phone etc. by bluetooth.
4. I doubt the RAM can be increased - I'd have to take it apart and have a look. (there may be a way to use SD card space like a page file?? Dunno yet.)
5. There is an app to sort out the steering wheel controls, but I don't have any so I don't know if it works. (I presume it would though)
6. The dash I have has these annoying stickyouty bits which means the Head Unit sticks out even more to clear these bits - I'll be ordering a normal flat type one from Nissan soon!

Aye Bluetooth. I meant wifi connection. I have unlimited data and connect my laptop to it using my phone as a hotspot (router). I presume I could do the same with the head unit. Also connect to my home wifi when I pull on the drive?

Yes the Head Unit has built in wifi, and I was connected to my phone's hotspot, and my house wifi today. There are more features that I'll get to at some point including Screen Mirroring - which as the name suggests, mirrors your phone's screen on the Head Unit!

Ok guys, bad news.. This "Screen Mirroring" thing doesn't work. Oh dear, what a shame, how sad, never mind.

MemoryMaps works well though, I was just about to buy a map when I noticed the price.. I had to clean the leather again...

Here's where I am now... I have added Wind Deflectors, Bonnet Protector, Head Unit. I have removed Dirt, Grime, Old CD Changer. I have bought for the car a 10m recovery strap and D shackles, Tyre Repair Kit, Compressor, Trenching tool/Shovel, Nice New Car Smell, Dash Cam, First Aid Kit, Jump Leads, and a boot liner of sorts.
